HYPERFLASH™
NOR flash with HYPERBUS™ interface
HYPERFLASH™ NOR flash memories deliver the performance required for embedded systems in automotive advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), instrument clusters, and infotainment systems, factory automation, and networking routers and switches. They deliver a read bandwidth of 333 MB/s across one-third the number of pins of parallel NOR flash.
- 166 MHz DDR (333 MB/s)
- x8 interface
- Deep power down (8 µA)
- Automotive AEC-Q100 qualified
- -40° C to +125° C
- Error correction code
- BGA package
- Twenty-year data retention
- Up to 100k cycles endurance
High-performance, low pin count HYPERFLASH™ NOR flash memory
Power up instantly by rapidly delivering boot code stored in NOR flash to the system MCU. Support high resolution displays by delivering pre-rendered images stored in NOR flash to the graphics MCU. Display complex motion and graphics by rapidly delivering multiple images, e.g., the tachometer needle in the digital instrument cluster.
Key features include:
- High performance: x8 interface operating at 166 MHz DDR (333 MB/s)
- Low pin count: 12-pin interface reduces BOM cost (compared to parallel NOR)
- Low power modes: supports deep power down (8 µA)
- Automotive qualified to AEC-Q100 Grade 1 (-40° C to +125° C)
Proprietary MIRRORBIT™ technology for highest-density designs
Infineon’s proprietary MIRRORBIT™ technology is the world’s most advanced NOR flash process technology and is optimal for high density devices. It stores two bits per cell and is the foundation for a broad range of Infineon parallel and serial NOR flash products.
Ensure long-term supply and support with Infineon's longevity program
Infineon’s flash memory product longevity program extends the availability of our most popular memory products to serve long-lived platforms. Typical longevity is ten-plus years from date of production release. By selecting NOR flash products covered by the program, you benefit from peace-of-mind and a robust supply chain for critical memory devices. Learn more about longevity program

Code storage in embedded systems
NOR flash is the ideal memory for code storage in embedded systems due to its fast random-read performance. This performance also supports Execute in Place (XiP) functionality which allows host controllers to execute code directly from the NOR flash memory without needing to first copy the code to a RAM. Higher levels of serial NOR memory performance have enabled Execute in Place (XiP) to be used in a wide variety of designs in many applications.
Widest range of AEC-Q100-qualified memories
Infineon offers the widest range of AEC-Q100-qualified serial NOR flash memory with support for temperatures up to +125°C. PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) support is available for automotive customers. Infineon complements all its products with world class quality and support.
