The EiceDRIVER™ Enhanced isolated driver series consist of multiple families listed below:
The F3 family (1ED332x), 8.5 A single channel isolated drivers in DSO-16. They incorporate protection features, such as precise DESAT, soft-off and active Miller Clamp. These products are an excellent solution for SiC MOSFET short-circuit protection.
The X3 Analog family (1ED34xx) offering resistor-configurability for DESAT (adjustable filter time), and soft-off (adjustable current) through external resistors (ADJA and ADJB pin)
The X3 Digital family (1ED38xx) offers I2C-configurability for DESAT, Soft-Off, UVLO, Miller clamp, two level turn off (TLTO), and Fault function to simplify the design of highly reliable systems. All adjustments are done from the input side via the I2C interface (pin SDA and SCL)
Both 1ED34xx and 1ED38xx are single channel isolated drivers offering up to 9 A output current, 40 V max. output supply voltage in space-saving DSO-16 fine pitch wide-body package with 8 mm creepage. X3 Analog and Digital are certified according to UL 1577 as VIso = 5.7 kV (rms) for 1 min and VDE 0884-11 (reinforced isolation) VIORM = 1767 V.
2ED020I12-F2 (2ED-F2) is a dual-channel 2 A isolated gate driver with DESAT functionality in a DSO-36 package.
The EiceDRIVER™ Enhanced 2ED-FI family. 2ED020I12-FI (2ED-FI) is a 1200 V, half-bridge high speed MOSFET and IGBT driver with interlock. 2ED-FI integrates a general purpose operational amplifier (OPAMP) and general purpose comparator, which can be utilized as over current protection (OCP). The high side output provides galvanic isolation. A 650 V version is also available: 2ED020I06-FI
These galvanically isolated drivers provide driving capabilities of up to 9 A making booster solutions obsolete. The EiceDRIVER™ Enhanced isolated gate drivers are ideal for applications using traditional switches, such as IGBTs or MOSFETs, but also for leading-edge technologies such as Silicon Carbide (SiC) MOSFET or IGBT7.
In particular the Miller Clamp option and the accurate short-circuit protection feature (DESAT) enables superior application safety by avoiding parasitic turn-on and short-circuit occurrence, respectively, especially when driving CoolSiC™ SiC MOSFET and TRENCHSTOP™ IGBT7.
The EiceDRIVER™ Enhanced galvanically isolated drivers are based on our coreless transformer (CT) technology, enabling a world class common mode transient immunity (CMTI) of 300 kV/μs. They are ideal for applications such as solar string inverters, energy storage systems, EV charging, UPS, industrial drives, CAC, Industrial robotics, induction heating appliances, and power supplies for servers and telecommunication systems.
