Low noise amplifier MMICs for mobile cellular systems: 4G and 5G
Infineon 4G and 5G LNAs are designed to optimize the sensitivity of mobile cellular systems. These MMIC (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit) LNAs contain gain-switching, biasing, and matching circuitry and MIPI interfaces, and thus allow an easy implementation into the RF design.
There are a wide variety of solutions from single to quad low noise amplifiers (LNAs) in very small standard IC packages optimized for the standard cellular frequency bands that address individual customer needs, including high linearity LNAs with bypass enable 4x4 MIMO (Multiple-Input/Multiple-Output) reception with high power transmit signals.
Infineon 4G/5G LNAs are used in many reference designs of chipset vendors, but can also be found in customized solutions to compensate losses from the antenna to the transceiver in complex multi-band front-end implementations or long signal lines from distributed antennas - or to improve overall system performance.
There can be different types of LNAs suitable depending on the application, such as gain step LNAs, high linearity LNAs, and high gain LNAs.
