At Infineon, we develop sensor solutions that enable simple, effortless, and convenient user experiences with all kinds of smart devices. So that the technology around us makes life easier for us and that we can focus on what really matters in life.
If we take a look at the human sensory system, we receive information about the world around us from our senses - sometimes from one of them, mostly from a few. Our senses rarely act separately. And even though we are not always aware of it, the crosstalk between them is constant. For most sensory experiences, our brain combines information from multiple sensory systems. With technology, this process is called sensor fusion.

We have developed first use cases with a holistic approach that combines several smart senses into coherent intelligent systems. This enables us to turn several complex technical processes into one simple solution. To achieve this, different sensors complement each other to gain and process situational data. This contextual awareness allows things to finally detect and understand their surroundings and to respond to human gestures and voice commands like never before. This is paving the way for more natural experiences for users on the one hand and for more process efficiency for the industry on the other. In the future, Infineon won’t be a single sensor chip supplier only but also a solution provider. Thinking in solutions and systems, we bring sensors, power supply, controller, and connectivity together, accompanied by dedicated software.

Infineon’s radar presence detection solution enables the detection of human presence within a configured distance. Enabled by our XENSIV^TM 60 GHz radar with its reliable radar presence detection algorithm, this solution provides extremely high accuracy in detecting both micro and macro motions.
