The Segment LCD Controller (LCD) displays the contents of Display Data Memory (LCDRAM) directly to the Liquid Crystal Display panel by controlling segment and common outputs. A variety of operating modes are supported with varying numbers of COM / SEG lines and LCD duty cycles. The LCD can be driven from the device or external power and can be clocked from either PCLK or the external sub-clock (CLKSO).
