PSOC™ Control C3P
The New Generation of Power Conversion Microcontrollers
PSOC™ Control is Infineon’s newest MCU’s developed specifically for power conversion applications. In addition to using real-time control Arm® Cortex® - M33 based core, this high-performance microcontroller family integrates advanced real-time analog peripherals to enable designers to improve efficiency and reliability of their new designs. Typical applications include telecom / server power supplies, light electric vehicle chargers, and solar inverters.
PSOC™ Control provides designers the ability to innovate their power conversion products. This is possible due to the advance analog features of the PSOC™ Control microcontroller products such as the high-performance ADC and high-resolution PWM. With true synchronous “idle” sampling of up to 16 analog signals from the single core ADC, up to 25% faster results is possible without any sampling jitter. With less than 100 ps of resolution, this TCPWM provides clean signal generation and allows system in-cycle control of up to 2MHz switching frequency. These real-time analog peripherals integrated with the MCU give the designers the ability to reduce system BOM and provide flexibility to use wide-band-gap switches for their next generation of products.
Within the power conversion sub-family of PSOC™ Control microcontrollers, there will be available Entry, Main, and Performance line category of products. The entry line will provide the best value while the main line will offer more features and higher performance.
