Features of our Automotive PSoC™ 4100S microcontroller family
In terms of serial communication, the Automotive PSoC™ 4100S family boasts of four independent run-time-reconfigurable SCBs. These SCBs support reconfigurable I2C, SPI, UART, or LIN 1.3, 2.1/2.2 functionality, providing versatile communication options for your automotive systems with up to 34 programmable GPIO pins. Any GPIO pin can be configured for CAPSENSE™, LCD, analog, or digital functions, giving you the freedom to tailor your design to your exact specifications.
The family offers a range of analog capabilities, including two opamps with reconfigurable high-drive external and high-bandwidth internal drive. It also supports comparator mode and ADC input buffering capability. Moreover, Automotive PSoC™ 4100S offers high-resolution ADC with a 12-bit 1 Msps SAR ADC with differential and single-ended modes.
The integrated channel sequencer with signal averaging ensures accurate data acquisition for your applications. Two current DACs are available for general-purpose or capacitive sensing applications on any pin, providing flexibility in your analog circuitry. Two low-power comparators operate even in deep-sleep mode, ensuring system functionality while conserving power.
Easy-to-use software for prototyping end applications
PSoC™ Creator
PSoC™ Creator is an integrated design environment (IDE) that enables concurrent hardware and firmware editing, compiling, and debugging of PSoC™ and FM0+ systems. Applications are created using schematic capture and over 150 pre-verified, production-ready peripheral components.
ModusToolbox™
ModusToolbox™ Software is a modern, extensible development environment supporting a wide range of Infineon microcontroller devices, including automotive PSoC™ Arm® Cortex® Microcontrollers. Infineon's Modustoobox offers a variety of code repositories on GitHub that are comprehensive, flexible, and atomic. This means that you will have access to all of the resources you need, can use them in your own workflow, and obtain only those resources which are necessary for your project. These repositories include board support packages (BSPs), low-level resources like a hardware abstraction layer (HAL) and peripheral driver library (PDL), and middleware that enables industry-leading features such as CAPSENSE™.
