MOTIX™ motor system ICs (SBC) for BDC motors
Infineon’s MOTIX™ motor system IC (SBC) is the world first IC combining DC motor control with supply functions such as power supply, CAN FD & LIN
MOTIX™ motor system ICs (SBC) for BDC motor control offer high integration and performance with optimized system cost. They combine power supply, communication and multiple half-bridge MOSFET drivers – using Infineon’s patented adaptive MOSFET control concept. All devices feature a low-dropout voltage regulator with an output current of 250 mA/5 V. The communication interface incorporates a CAN FD (5 Mbit/s) and/or LIN transceiver.
- Low-dropout regulator up to 250 mA
- CAN FD (5 Mbit/s) & LIN transceiver
- High-side switches (7Ω typ.)
- Patented adaptive MOSFET control

About Infineon's product ecosystem
The TLE956 device driver V2.0 is a microcontroller independent device driver which enables the control of one TLE956 that is connected to any type of microcontroller. Due to its platform independency one has only to implement the platform specific SPI communication interface in order to be able to control the device via the well documented APIs.
What is the adaptive MOSFET control feature?
Infineon's MOTIX™ motor system ICs (SCB) use a patented concept of adaptive MOSFET gate drive. This multi-stage slew rate control enables EMC tuning via SPI, including adjusting slew rate with independence from dead-time and turn on/off delays. The on-board measurement and self-adaption of external MOSFET switching times allows balancing of power dissipation vs. EMC performance, adjusts for MOSFET lot-to-lot variations and reduces the need of end-of-line calibration effort.
