Multichannel SPI low-side power switch
FLEX multichannel low-side switches for powertrains, safety and industrial, relays, injector valves, oxygen probe heaters, solenoids, and uni-polar stepper motors. The flex multichannel low-side switches family has a concept with full scalability from 4 to 18 channels and leading-edge technology. All flex multichannel switches are equipped with embedded protection functions and enhanced diagnosis which are used in numerous industrial platforms.

Benefits and features of FLEX
The ICs automatically detect faults and switch off the related channel. Such events can be triggered by overtemperature, short-circuits, or overcurrent. To detect fault conditions and to react to system-level diagnosis, functions are included in the ICs. The diagnosis function checks for fault conditions such as open load, short to ground, short to battery supply, overcurrent, and overtemperature. The CLAMPsafe feature ensures a balanced clamping between the channels, what gives the possibility to put channels in parallel and increase the current.
All kinds of ohmic loads, but also inductive loads, which require an active discharge of the stored energy in the coil.
This clamping circuit is included as a standard in all Mulitswitch products.
So all inductive load are supported as Relays, injectors, solenoids, electromechanically switches or motors.
