Future positive - or not? Tech for sustainable mobility

On 16 January 2025, we are thrilled to host our next TechFor™ event in partnership with Digital Life Design (DLD) at the DLD conference in Munich.

This year's DLD motto, "Future Positive," perfectly aligns with our TechFor™ mission: to inspire a passion for innovation and pioneer solutions for the decarbonization of our planet. Our expert panel will delve into the sustainable transformation of the mobility sector, exploring its technological, social, and economic complexities and solutions as well as latest innovations.

Can we be future positive in the sustainable mobility transformation? We say yes. The solutions exist and microelectronics provides the foundation for this change.

Meet our panelists

Dr. Herbert Diess
Mobility Expert and Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Infineon Technologies

In the course of his professional career, Dr. Diess has acquired extensive skills in various areas of global business life, such as manufacturing and production, marketing, sales and distribution, as well as human resources and organizational development. Furthermore, as the former Chief Executive Officer of Volkswagen AG, he also has wide-ranging strategic skills, valuable expertise in future-related topics such as electromobility, and a broad network of contacts in business, industry associations, and political institutions in Germany and abroad.

Prof. Dr. Markus Lienkamp
Head of Chair for Automotive Technology at the Technical University of Munich (TUM)

Markus Lienkamp (*1967) is an engineer and researcher in the area of electromobility, autonomous driving and mobility. He is Professor of the Institute of Automotive Technology at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and was involved in the CREATE project in Singapore. After studying mechanical engineering at TU Darmstadt and Cornell University, Prof. Lienkamp obtained his doctorate at the TU Darmstadt in 1995. He worked at Volkswagen in an international trainee program and took part in a Joint Venture between Ford and Volkswagen in Portugal. Back in Germany, he led the brake testing at the utility vehicle development in Wolfsburg. Later he headed the ‘Electronics and Vehicle’ research department at Volkswagen, with a focus on driver assistance systems and vehicle concepts for electromobility. Since November 2009 Prof. Lienkamp is Head of Chair for Automotive Technology.

Andreas Urschitz
Member of the Management Board and CMO, Infineon Technologies

Andreas Urschitz, CMO at Infineon Technologies, has been with the company for 30 years and has always driven technological solutions to shape the decarbonization and digitalization of the world. Infineon's energy efficiency technologies enable energy savings along the electrical conversion chain, from green energy generation to lossless transmission and less consumption. He has always had the firm conviction that technical development should not be an end in itself, but should make life better, protect the future of humanity and even make the world safer and more livable. Andreas grew up on a farm and learned early on how important it is to make sustainable choices. 

DLD – one of Europe’s leading innovation conferences
