Robust, secure, and flexible solutions for ticketing, access and identity management, brand protection, and inventory control applications.
Infineon offers contactless memory key security products to address the diverse markets for identity and access management systems and contactless ticketing applications. Infineon RFID and NFC technology are outfitting the next generation of smart buildings and interconnected cities with industry-leading standards of convenience, flexibility, and security.
The demand for innovative ticketing and access management solutions has never been higher. However, a heterogenous collection of applications – from commercial to consumer buildings, private and public institutions, and events organization – operated by fragmented proprietary and third-party technology makes for a challenging environment.
Infineon directly addresses this issue with NFC/RFID tags and broader contactless memory technology founded upon open source and non-proprietary security standards. The benefits of this approach, when combined with Infineon’s history of delivering best-in-class solutions, are considerable. These include flexible development of future-proof technology solutions, RFID/NFC products built upon transparent and high security standards, and a streamlined process of global deployment. All independent of vendor lock-in and complex systems offering near-impossible scalability.
Infineon's my-d™ products are optimized for personal and object identification.
Solutions are available in plain mode with open memory access and in secure mode with memory access controlled by authentication procedures. Architectural interoperability of my-d™ products enables easy migration from simple to more demanding applications.
Flexible controls within the my-d™ devices start with plain mode operation featuring individual page locking. For more complex applications such as multi-purpose NFC/RFID ICs various settings in secure mode can be set for multi-user/multi-application configurations.
In plain mode access to the memory is supported by 4-byte block as well as 8-byte page structure. In secure mode a cryptographic algorithm based on a 64-bit key is available.
Mutual authentication, message authentication codes (MAC), and customized access conditions protect the memory against unauthorized access. Configurable Value Counters featuring anti-tearing functionality are suitable for value token applications, such as limited-use RFID smart cards for transportation or events ticketing.
The Infineon NRG™ is a secure and robust multi-use RF communication chip that is compliant with the ISO/IEC 14443-3 Type A standard and uses the CRYPTO1 cryptographic algorithm for security. The NRG™ (ISO/IEC 14443-3 Type A with CRYPTO1) offers flexible controls that allow users to customize the memory access by secret keys to meet the specific needs of their application.
The NRG™ also includes a number of security features, such as mutual authentication and customized access conditions. These features help to protect the data from unauthorized access.
The my-d™ move range is designed to meet the requirements of the NFC market for smart memories. The SLE 66R01P offers cost-effective solutions for a range of applications with 128 Byte User Memory, OTP memory, Password, and Value Counter functionality. The SLE 66R01PN is as above with pre-configured NFC memory.
The my-d™ move lean range offers the same advanced functionality as above built to NFC Forum™ Type 2 Tag Operation and compliant with ISO/IEC 14443-3 Type A standards. It comprises a more cost economical 48 Byte User Memory for straightforward applications. The SLE 66R01PN is as above with pre-configured NFC memory.
my-d™ vicinity plain products are advanced RFID high frequency (13.56 MHz) solutions for contactless vicinity cards with a robust read/write distance of up to 150cm. Built to ISO/IEC 15693 or ISO/IEC 18000-3 Mode 1 standards with a focus on applications requiring up to 10 kbit EEPROM. Potential applications include ticketing, brand protection, access and inventory control.
The my-d™ vicinity secure range offers the same functionality as my-d™ vicinity plain products with additional advanced security features. Value-adding benefits for vicinity card applications include my-d® custom mode, configurable number of sectors and sector size, and a state-of-the-art challenge and response security algorithm (mutual authentication).
As hierarchical key management is supported on a single RFID smart card, NRG™ SLE 66R35x is suitable for multi-application uses, such as combining transport ticketing with event access. It features a RFID high frequency (13.56 MHz) and a data rate of 106 kbit/s. NRG™ SLE 66R35x allows for rapid and robust contactless transmission typically under 100ms, reducing risk of bottlenecking or congestion at ticket contact points.
