Infineon Technologies contributes to the AUTOSAR standard since 2004 and provides accordingly AUTOSAR solutions for its microcontroller portfolio. Infineon’s MC-ISAR AUTOSAR drivers are based on the technology verified by AUTOSAR. The driver portfolio comprises components of the Microcontroller Abstraction Layer (MCAL) within one configuration tool for quickly starting up an application development. The Microcontroller Abstraction Layer (MCAL) is the lowest software layer of the Basic Software. It contains drivers, which are software modules with direct access to the µC internal peripherals and memory mapped µC external devices.
